MLK JR. CASEFILE

An infographic that examines MLK Jr.'s LETTER FROM BIRMINGHAM JAIL and THE FBI'S INVOLVEMENT IN THREATENING, slandering, AND SPYING ON MLK JR. I CREATEd the INFOGRAPHIC IN THE STYLE OF A 1960'S FBI CASE FILE, that follows A TIMELINE FROM THE ARREST OF MLK JR. ON APRIL 12TH, 1963 TO THE MARCH ON WASHINGTON, which took place in august of that same year. I began to piece together similar words and ideas in MLK Jr,'s letter, connecting them relevant newspaper articles, magazine articles, and photographs from the Civil rights movement. It becomes evident the fbi was perpetuating a false narrative in an attempt to mislead Americans about the true intent of MLK Jr. and the civil rights movement. Even in the face of death threats, bombings, and slander MLK Jr. held true to his convictions and never stopped fighting for justice. "Will you stand up or remain seated?"
