MLK Jr. Casefile

The brief for this infographic project asked the designer to take something apart. I decided to take apart mlk jr. 's letter from birmingham jail. Like an fbi case file, i began piecing together newspaper articles, magazine articles, and photographs, creating a linear timeline from the arrest of mlk jr. On april 12th, 1963 to the march on washington, which took place later that same year. Throughout the research process, i began to uncover more information regarding the fbi's involvement, under Edgar J. Hoover, in attempting to smear, disrupt, and threaten MLK Jr. , and the entirety of the civil rights movement.
