South Park is an iconic animated television show that has spanned 27 years and produced 328 episodes, movies, games, and seven TV specials. Among its many beloved characters, one stands out: Towelie, the genetically modified smart towel. When tasked with creating an exclusive collection, I focused on Season 7, Episode 5, aptly titled “Towelie,” which reveals his unusual origin story in an 80s-style action movie adventure. In this episode, the boys embark on a mission to recover their stolen video game console, the Okama Gamesphere, amidst a feud between a paramilitary group and extraterrestrials vying for Towelie. The analog military equipment and low-resolution gaming graphics throughout the episode inspired the bitmap, lo-fi visual direction of this exclusive South Park collection.
